Mostly in mobiles dont have the facility to store large numbers of sms. But you’ll get some lovely sms regularly and likes to store always in mobile or any safe place to get back whenever you need. Yahoo! India is giving you the opportunity to store your sms online and its absolutely free to use.
Now you have the option not to loose those important sms and secure them online.
You can read the stored sms on your Yahoo! Mail
The sms are saved in a folder names “SMS Backup” and that will be created on Yahoo! Mail.
Process
You have to register your Mobile Phone on Yahoo! Mobile and there is two options to register your phone. First one is send a sms message to 82438243 and they’ll send the registration instruction to your mobile phone and you should complete the registration with the use of Computer with Internet connection.
In other option, if you have already a Yahoo! account, you can simply register in the SMS Backup Page. Login to your account and enter your mobile number and Yahoo! will send you a confirmation message to your mobile and enter confirmation code on your computer and click ‘Finished’ to complete the registration process.
Storing sms on Yahoo! Mobile is completely free but if you want to backup the sms then you will be charged by your network company.
What’s the cost per SMS Backup?
At the moment Airtel, Idea, Aircel, Spice, Reliance (RIM) costs Rs.3 per sms backup, Hutch, BPL, Tata costs Rs.2 and MTNL, BSNL costs Re.1
You can store as many mobile sms on Yahoo! online backup sms facility, but the confirmation code will be sent to the user mobile only.
